Kinja'd!!!

Apparently we have an effective bird hunter. I think it’s cool, my wife does not. However, neither of us are keen on dead birds being brought into the house. We would have got a cat in that case.

My wife said he just wanted to give me a father’s day present.

I wish my wife’s dogs did dog things.

Never getting little dogs again.

Ooh! Not cool to punish for that.

With Dogs it’s not totally a sign of affection. Your pup views you as part of the pack and was helping bring home dinner.

Who’s the alpha in your pack?

Had two yorkies growing up that would do things like that. They killed a few birds and rabbits

Sometimes I have this fear that my puppy will kill one of my cats someday...

STOP THAT! I’m having traumatic flashbacks reading all those puppy articles online about how everything I’m doing is wrong

We have a toddler, and really don’t want to make a habit of dead animals inside.

My wife is the alpha. He’s her service dog, so he’s pretty established in that position.

Our dog only wants to kill fowl. And he REALLY wants to kill them.

I normally try avoiding advice like that. Just like having kids everyone wants to put their .02 in.

If you’re viewed as the Alpha dead things don’t come inside without permission. As an equal, yeah. You’re getting dead things.

Lloyd is my fourth Lab if we don’t count the 2 litters (12 pups in the first and 14 in the second!) and several “fosters”. It’s just what I’ve observed over the years.

Oh I don’t have much to say of what you actually said because I dunno about any of that — I just noticed familiar language like “Alpha” and “pack” and I remember all the stuff I tried to study before I got mah dog.

Ah! Service dogs are a bit different.

That’s why I usually keep my trap shut.

I'm about to adopt a husky and I'm just not looking forward to all the dead animals that'll be popping up in my backyard

Haha. Yeah, Huskies bring somewhat more unique challenges. I hear they’re also escape artists.

It seems they are. Let’s hope my 6 foot fence can keep one in.

That’s why I try keeping my mouth shut. I’d rather look good than sound like a fool.

If footinmouthitis was a real condition I’d be patient zero.
